Dear Bareners,

I have been absent from the forum for several years but have been once again
(silently) following the forum for a few months now. If you look back
through the images in some of the exchanges (2005 or 2006 and earlier) you
can see that I used to participate quite regularly. Now that I am back to
teaching full-time again I do have some time to work on woodcuts once more.
In fact, I just finished a piece for a suite of woodcuts that will be
published this fall. The news page ( http://www.tyrusclutter.com/news ) on
my website has an image of the new work as well as a video clip of me
carving it. And, of course, you can wander around the rest of the website to
see the other work I do in various other printmaking methods and painting.

And, Dan Dew, I'm actually living in Florida now so we should check out the
St. Pete museum again some time.

Tyrus,
Welcome back...nice video. The noise of sharpening with no water or oil on the
stone ran right up my spine.... do you always sharpen that way?
What about using rouge and leather to help keep the tools sharp?
Nice job of carving, easier with oil as you do not need to be quite as deep.
lots of wook, makes me look like a real slacker..hahaha
Very nice use of text to define the image. Photoshop is such a great tool for
designing work. I am anxious to see it with the second color
I could not get the link to work, had to go to your site and click on news....
so something is missing.
My best
Barbara
