Carol, it's true that the "S" should be reversed on the branding iron
I sketched out. All you relief printmakers know how crazy it gets
when you're reversing a reverse for carving. Thanks for the reminder :)

My layers of ink are very transparent, and I sometimes have trouble with guidelines
being printed when I've used a sharpie. My solution has been to create a guide on
tracing paper with graphite. For each layer, I can transfer whatever information is
important for that color.
