Julio,
Thanks for posting the videos I really enjoyed watching them! Its always
nice to see how other people work and i always learn something new. i just
have one suggestion about woodgrain. I have found that if you brush with the
grain it shows up better in the print and if you want to minimize the
woodgrain brush against it. ĘSydney the paste was probably rice paste. i
gives body to the pigment and a smooth look to the print. printing with out
a paste will result in a speckled look.

Thanks for the tip Viza, I'll make sure to try brushing with the grain on
the next session and report back. The paste I use is homemade, amount
varies but usually about a teaspoon of Pillsbury flour mixed with about
4-8oz of water and heated to a gentle boil on a saucepan. Heating time is
4-8 minutes until I get close to the consistency needed for my paste...not
too watery and not too thick. There are several recipes on the Baren
website and a ton of discussion on paste on the forum archives.

thanks again for checking out the videos...I'll be posting a couple more
soon.
