Eileen writes: "Thanks to all those who have posted their photos. It's
great to see the
people behind the prints!"

That's it...'see'... that's the idea behind the BaSo features...getting us
to be a bit more visual. You can post your latest images, work in
progress, etc....Tom Kristensen has added a set of step-by-step images of
one of his latest prints......a beautiful landscape image ! Others have
contributed recent images and are
awaiting your comments.

I am out on vacation so I don't have much access to the net or to share in
the fun but please do give it a try......we have about 40 bareners onboard
right now...the photo editor is a bit basic and people are just getting to
try some of the features....take a look at my profile page to see what
tools are available....checkout the video playlist feature with links to
some printmaking videos...

Annie and David are available if you have any questions or are having
trouble navigating around.....

Chicago's Center for the Book and Paper will open the season
with this exhibition. The following links to printmaking at the
Derge Parkhang are fascinating!

Pearl of the Snowlands: Buddhist Printing at the Derge Parkhang,
Exhibition at Columbia College's Center for the Book and Paper,
Chicago, opens September 11, 2009 with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m.

Continued from [Forest in Summer - 17] | Starting point of the thread is [Forest in Summer - 1]

So, today's printing will be pretty easy ... just three very small areas of 'spot' colour. In case you haven't figured out what's happening in the background - going by the 'negative' space that was left - the main image on this page should provide the answer.

Here we go then; let's give Dave a bit of skin tone:

And he needs some trousers:

Subject: My new etching press
Posted by: Alynn Guerra

Last month I found a posting on Baren Forum about a man who needed to sell his etching press as soon as possible.I thought about it for an hour or so. it was crazy that for the past 3 nights I waked up in the middle of the night thinking that I needed to start saving money to buy a bigger press and on the third day I stumble into this! So I called the number and inquire the price, location, etc.
