Save yourself a bundle Annie and order it through a flooring store
where it isn't an 'art supply'. Same stuff but much cheaper if it's
meant to be walked upon rather than carved into.

Annie, linoleum comes in ROLLS! Google 'battleship linoleum', I think
Dan
Smith carries it?

is anybody listening? annie was asking me what I use. i don't use lino. i use floor vinyl. it's plastic. it has no burlap backing. it's decorated on the walking side with colorful plastic specks all throughout. it's ugly and it's cheap. and it's NOT LINO.

I asked this a couple days ago but haven't seen it come thru.........

Japanese paper sizes seem pretty structured and I am not familiar with them. I'm used to just using whatever size I feel like.
So my question is this: with each paper size is there an image size? Say for the 6.6 x 15 in exchange #39 - what is the image size?

And, does the paper/image size make it more "authentic" as a moku hanga print or is there freedom within this structured sizing?

Hi,

I am part of this group has little time and I have learned very much with you! The exchanges of information are always enjoyable. I have learned very much especially on the no-toxics materials of engraving that were passed recently to the group.
I am writing now because I need some help from you, I work here in São Paulo, Brazil with engraving and I will be moving to Istanbul in the end of this year, with my husband that will work there.

I do not know about the city and I need to know where to buy and how much it costs the materials and tools of engraving... metal plates, inks, and mainly the press. I do not know if I will be able to take the press from São Paulo and I wish to know if it is possible to buy one in Istanbul.
I will be grateful for your aid and it would be very nice to meet somebody of the group living in Istanbul!
Best regards,

Maura
