I think that Sharri said it quite well. The printing aspect of
printmaking is as important as the conceptual aspect; an edition
should consist of consistent, well printed prints, that's what an
educated print buyer would expect. As to the ones that are out of
register /smeared / have too much/too little ink etc/etc/etc they
should be altered in a way that would change them completely from the
original. I think most buyers of 'limited edition' prints would
expect that as well.

I think touch ups are okay so long as it isn't apparent that it was
touched up.
