NOW, Mike replies:

... Yeah, yeah, yeah... Well, this is how 'history' is
written, isn't it? With similar somewhat artificial tokens chosen to
illustrate how we got to 'here'???

But, speaking of fairy tales, isn't it only human nature to attribute the
savory inexplicable to metaphysics?

What Dave failed to mention was his SHOCK (and mine) when he later visited
MY studio (for Summit 1 in KC) and discovered that he'd been there BEFORE!
In one of Dave's past lives as a musician and peddler of sheet music, he'd
called on a Kansas City music publisher-- the only place he EVER previously
visited in KC -- Winger Jones Sheet Music was the previous occupant of my
studio building. Now what do you suppose the chances are of my having
stumbled upon Baren via the Internet, met Dave and visited him, then he
comes to the states to my studio and... Well... Long odds, don't you
think? 'Course, by that standard, EVERYthing's a long shot, right? Right!

Anyway, my gratitude's not all THAT inappropriate!

Best,

Mike

Attached is a link to a few Baumann prints; they are quite different.
The prints of trees should catch the interest of anyone interested in
reduction printing.

Mike, wow! That was way cool to watch. It will be fun to see the prints.

As for the blog issue, I can't even figure out how to add more to my mine
and I have taken pictures of my summers work. A lot of this work is not
woodblock, but monotype and watercolors. I do enjoy viewing all types of
art and all types of printmaking. But will leave the technical issues to
those of you who are running the list. Thanks for you expertise.
If I figure out how to put this on a blog I will put a link into after 5 to
send interested folks there. Remember we do have that option available,
after 5 is not limited to just woodblock discussion and you can put a link
to anything you want to there and people can go to view it if they choose.
