Hi everyone,

Well it's happened...I have a press at last! It's a Farley cylinder
proofing press. There's a pic on my blog for the interested.
http://studio-window.blogspot.com/ now, I have a question:

Although the press came to me pretty clean on the bed and roller, I
would like to remove the ground-in dust of ages past from the frame,
handle and around the paper grippers. Could anyone suggest the best
thing to use that will help keep rust at bay too? Is WD40 the stuff of
choice? (I'm in the UK) How about eco-friendly alternatives?

Any advice gratefully received,

Sue
