Some how my yesterdays email did not go through. I was printing outside at
a picnic table setup. This is because the studio has yet to be finished. I
was doing hanga prints. I had 20 sheets prepped and 3/4 of the way through
the second colour I had to stop. My back was going off (does that some
times). I wanted to know what is the best way to design my hanga printing
area to avoid a backache??? Should I design it for standiing?? Or make the
height of my table taller for a sitting position??? Or something else???
Since our two back rooms are about done and the next room is my studio space
I can work out the options soon.
Thanks, Marilynn

Hi Robin

Sorry for this post, cannot eliminate the extra posts. So many things have
been on my plate lately that I cannot remember if I signed for the Iraq
exchange.
Would have written sooner but my computer crashed and I am just now getting
some of my features back. Lost all my files, pictures, etc, etc, but finally
got my mail back but lost my addresses as well, what a bummer!!!

I sure hope I did not sign for the exchange as it is now impossible for me
to make the commitment.

Jeanne, the frustrated one.

Hi Bea and Diane!!! You both died and came back??? Wow! I'm so impressed...

Once I backpacked into Death Valley in early May with temps soaring to 118
already. I checked into the ranger station and got my permit and walked back
into the wild desert with pooch Cisco in tow--er, make that on top of the
backpack, he was little then. There was a year-round spring that I just knew
I could find.
Well, I did find it and I was ready for the five days I spent "out there",
but when I came back to check back with the rangers I found out I had been
declared "missing and possibly deceased." They also had a note to send a
search party to find me later THAT WINTER! The nerve...

So here I am too, resucitated and never even been nibbled on by a coyote.
Here's to the living!!!

Maria

Then, there is the story of Everett Ruess, a gifted printmaker that actually
did disappear in the canyons of Arizona or Utah in the '30s.

I'm glad everyone else is (relatively) healthy.

Monica and Bridget - I tried to contact the participants in Exchange #33 to
request a volunteer coordinator, but your emails bounced - please contact me
off list at mikelyon@mlyon.com and let me know
your correct email.

Here's a copy of the note I tried to send you (and all participants in #33):

Only ONE person clicked "choose me, choose me" to coordinate Baren Exchange
33 (prints are due August 1). Unfortunately she's a 'newbie' and therefore
ineligible. If you like in the 'postal' USA, have already participated in a
Baren exchange, and you're willing to coordinate #33 (see
http://barenforum.org/exchange/for_coordinators.html to learn more about
what it means to coordinate) - PLEASE reply and let me know you're willing
and able to do it!!! At the same time, let me have your mailing address.

Note that ELI GRIGGS has been promoted into the exchange proper to replace
someone who had to withdraw. The 'no penalty' drop out date for #33 is July
1 - if you can NOT submit your prints, please let me know prior to July 1
that you need to withdraw.

Thanks so much,

Mike
