For applying drypoint inks I was taught to use a small roll of felt, we used
old etching blankets. Another very nice way to dob on ink is to use a piece
of soft leather that is filled with a soft material and tied into a dauber.
These items should not destroy your burr. You can softly twirl on the ink to
fill your lines. Than yes the phone book pages torn into little squares are
used. One other thing that helps with the wiping are the oblong little
papers one can buy at beauty supply stores. They are used in the beauty
profession to put over hair rollers when giving permnants. You can softly
remove extra ink this way. Anything too hard and you might damage the burr.
Oh I forgot the tarlatan, using that after the ink is first put on is good.

Have fun and enjoy your art.

For drypoint, - roll the ink on with a soft rubber brayer - one I have not
heard of, sounds really effective.

Harry,
I enjoyed seeing your web page. And your work. Thanks
Your easel is the same as mine. I won't say how long
I've had mine. :-)
I do enjoy seeing other people's studios.

Dear Harry,
I really appreciate your print of the wolves
Freki and Geri. You pull off the speed and intensity
of their runnning movement.
Thank You for all the prints you do!!
