Anna,

About the postcard exchange for the Chinese new year. This seems a more
relaxed exchange and often the cards are mailed out late. Not to worry if
they trickle in all year long. Mine are all printed. I am down here in
Baja Mexico where if I use the mail system you may never receive my cards.
Because of the many I will need to send I am waiting until I am back in
Washington to mail them. (could send them off with a friend, but that would
be a lot of work since no postage is here for the states). I think every
year there are blank spots where someone does not mail out their cards, some
times they come over a year late. It is one of those things that you decide
to put up with if you participate, either only send to those you recieve
from or consider it a gift and mail them anyway.

I am looking forward to a diluge of mail I will have to open when I get back
north this May. The boar/pig prints will be fun to get.

And yes some times we hit the wrong button and our mail gets fouled, guess
we can forgive your error as we are all human.

Thanks for the links for workshops. But, I saw nothing about Richard
Steiner doing a workshop in Portland this summer???? This I might be able
to do, maybe???

Hi David,

You mentioned that you'd found info about a weekend relief printing in April in the UK. Could you post some of the info you've found, or a link to it, as I'd be interested to have a look at it, even though I'm up in Lancashire.

Cheers, Mark.

A bit off topic, no doubt, but brief: My father's cool (hot?) glass casting
film at http://www.fusemedia.tv/artists-spiro.html -- nice production (I'm
so proud)!

Hi Mark,

Here's the link to the Poole group:

http://www.poole-printmakers.org.uk/Courses_Page.html

I'm sure that a few of the other groups around the country have courses
too. Oxford have a couple in late summer, though I won't be going as the
place isn't my cup of tea.

cheers,

David

David - I'm so glad you found info' for Poole Printmakers -the
studio's in a wonderful old building and when I was last there the
ownership changed and there was some question
about they're being able to stay on - I'm happy for them -it 's a
great group (or was) and it looks like John Liddell is still there
- I'm expecting to visit them sometime this summer
I print by hand here at home but it's a great treat to use their presses -
cheers
