Subject: [Baren 32508] Exchange 32 sign-up is OPEN
Send Message: To this poster

Baren Exchange #32 opened for sign-up about 45 minutes ago but I got
confused about GMT vs. CDT and so got down to the studio a bit late this
chilly Jan 1 morning and didn't get the sign-up page 'fixed' until a few
minutes ago (so sorry). For those of you who've already attempted to sign
up, please open a NEW browser window, bring up the sign-up page
http://barenforum.org/exchange/exchange_sign-up.html and REFRESH it!!! Then
you can complete the registration once again just to make yourself feel
comfortable and then see the 'thank you' page instead of the 'error - too
early' page.

However, ALL sign-ups are automatically sent to me even when the sign-up
responds with the error page, so NO NEED TO SIGN UP REPEATEDLY!!! Now I'm
returning home to celebrate the new year with my family and I'll attend to
posting the names of those who have signed up tomorrow morning - thanks for
your patience and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

* Medium: Woodblock print (hand rubbed or pulled on a press, B&W or
colour, any pigments, any paper). Note: The Baren Exchange is a program for
forum members to create, exchange, and display editions of woodblock prints.
Relief prints pulled from wood substitutes and wood-like materials,
including linoleum, corian, MDF, resingrave, and similar are acceptable as
are collagraphs. Coordinators are obligated to reject prints whose primary
method of production is by other means. For example: monotype, intaglio,
stencil, lithography, ink jet, laser, photocopy, etc are to be rejected by
the coordinator. Medium: woodbloTheme: none
* Image size: no restriction
* Paper size:Oban, about 15 x 10 inches (38 x 25.5 cm)
* Paper type: no restriction
* Drop-out deadline: April 1, 2007 If you must drop out of the
exchange, please do so as early as possible in order to give people on the
waiting list time to complete and submit their prints. If you drop out after
this date then a penalty may be imposed.
* Delivery deadline for finished prints: May 1, 2007 -- if you do not
deliver acceptable prints by this date then a penalty may be imposed.

Sign up for Exchange #32:

Good luck, thanks for your patience, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

SOOOO sorry, Berndt Savig -- I did NOT intend to cc the forum with this
message -- after copying the forum email I neglected to delete the baren
address... Not my first boo-boo of 2007, unfortunately! :-)

Send Message: To this poster

Hello Baren!

I seem to have made some error in my sign-up
procedure. I recive the emails, and tried to post
my introduction, was requested to send an email with
name and requested password, did that and thought I
needed to await a confirmation that the info was ok,
but I guess that wasn't correct - no huge deal, but I
am unsure now, how to post in the future...

My introduction:

Hello Baren!

I recently found your forum and would like to join. I
got interested in woodcuts after art school - and have
been making them ever since. "Ever since" equals about
15 years. I do not have training in the japanese
traditional form of woodcuts, although I would be
interested in learning about it. I come from San
Francisco and am now living and working in Berlin. You
can see some of my work at my very new, and not yet
finished website: www.wendybell.de (go to "Werke"
(works) and then "Holzschnitte" (woodcuts))

I look forward to an interesting exchange with you
all. Happy New Year to everybody!
