In response to Maria's comments, I agree with the aversion to using the computer to generate images. Being a late bloomer ( the only student in our BFA show to be on Medicare! ) I prefer old fashioned methods. Most of the art produced in our print department was a collage of borrowed images.
Partly it is my ineptness. I have trouble even importing an photo into photoshop let alone taking out the red eye! I do use it for help with ideas for images such as portraits, but then draw the image on the block.
I admire Mike's knowledge and ability but I guess I am not envious.

Al, as sizing IS a tricky process, you may want to consider purchasing paper which has been already sized. There are Japanese papers available on the Baren Mall, through Mcclain's
www.immcclains.com
and Hiromi Paper www.hiromipaper.com, just to name a few places, that already are sized.
