Gail,
there are two type of bull nosed chisels, the ones that are very very rounded and the ones that are only slightly rounded, the slightly rounded one is the one I used. The first one would give less control as it would be hard to tell where your cuts started and stopped...but I think it would still work. Just keep the flat side to the outside of the line and lean the chisel over the line at an angle, cutting away from the line on the outside of the line. It was great for me...
