hello everyone.
i finaly caught my breath after all the excitement of the summit.
What a wonderful experience it was. Thanks to each and every participant who shared their knowledge and expertise, and to Barbara M and Sharri for hosting and planning everything so perfectly and for providing such a lovely environment for us all.
It was a huge undertaking and they did a stellar job.

Does anyone know where I can purchase the thin thai chiri paper (on a roll
preferably, and doesn't remain rolled up after it comes off) - kind of a tea
stained color, not the warmer buff?? I used to get it through Graphic
Chemical but they stopped ordering it even though it's listed on their
website, also I've tried emailing New York Central concerning color, but
they don't respond. I need a company that's reliable and can get the paper
out when ordered.

Thanks Charles -

I did a quick peak...I've found Japanese chiri tends to be the lighter buff
color, where the thai chiri is darker. Also, unless I'm missing something,
the price is much higher $10.40 per meter, where I was able to get 27 feet
at Graphic Chemical for $70. That would translate to about $240 in
Toronoto!?

I'll keep searchiing, but appreciate the response.

27 feet = 8.23 meters, give or take a mil
So if you were paying $70 for 8.23 meters, that's about $8.51 per meter
$10.40 is very close

If you are talking $10.40 Canadian, you will actually save money :-)

..that's close to what I figured too.... working on the conversion of 27ft = 8.23m x 10.40= $85.59 x exchange = (approx.) $77.11

Thanks! My mistake on the addition!!! Now I just need to find the tea
stained color thai chiri. Some call it natural, but I've found there seems
to be 2 or 3 colors of "natural". I just got a response back from NY from
my emails last week, they are "off-white", which isn't what I'm looking for.

I think I found the color I'm lookinf for at Hollander's up in Ann Arbor.
They have quite an extensive collection of papers and products for
bookmaking.

They were quick to respond as well. If my math is correct this time,
they're a bit more expensive per square foot than the other places
mentioned.

I'd still be interested in knowing of any other locations to purchase if
there's anyone out there that uses this paper.

Speaking of ripping off artists... Spam Scams have not totally eclipsed the other methods.
This summer, we had a customer call, saying he had been in the gallery a week earlier, and was interested in two of our prints, and wanted to confirm the price for one of his clients. Than he asked for framing estimates.
After a back and forth, with delays attributed to getting the payment authorized by the client, we framed the prints. The customer gave us a credit card number, name and address of a “Family member”. We ran the card, the address checked out, and the payment was processed. The customer had his assistant pick up the 2 prints…

So, 2 weeks ago, the bank called to say we were overdrawn because the charge payment for over $1,200 was no longer in our account… The card owner did not know the “family member”, and had reversed the charge.
Because we received “payment”, the loss is not protected by insurance or any credit card merchant services, so it looks like we are out the money.
I wondered why someone would steal art, when it can't be fenced worht beans.
The police say theft rings for art usually get a client, and tell them “You go over to such and such gallery, I have connections, and pick out what you want. Bring me your list, and I can get a discount. Don’t say anything to the staff. I will go pick it up and bring it to you. "

So, we will be watching out. You do the same. and if you see these prints, call me.
