Maria, I think we all try galleries at least for awhile. I too became
frustrated with the results. Since we are out of the country half the year
I pulled out all the work, too hard to keep track when one is gone. (I even
had one close doors on me, I was lucky to get my work out ) Now I sell a bit
through word of mouth and am awaiting my studio gallery space to be sheet
rocked and floored, in this tourist community all I need is a sign, I hope.

Looking now to the summit, less than a week away. I would suggest all
summiteers check the Portland area weather. We can be quite hot in August,
but we are in the pacific northwest where our weather can be changeable.
Sooo bring a jacket and some warmer clothing in case. Also err for warm and
bring some clothes that will be comfortable if it is hot. Since I travel
between climates those of you who are used to heat should prepare for a
little cooler. One other thought, layers work well in this climate, I love a
long sleeved shirt over a light top and for the last layer one can always
add that light jacket.
