Thanks, Sarah. I have some paper from Dick Blick, but it's just
plain old stuff they recommend for block printing. It's not bad, but
boring. LOL.

I've bought other things from DS before....I'll check out their papers.

Hello all-

Just curious if there are any barerners out there in the SE Tennessee/ N
Georgia / W N. Carolina area? There is a good chance that I will be making a
move to that area of the country, and am trying to get a 'feel' for the arts
scene... Especially in the Chattanooga area...

Also, MOST of my revised web page is up at _http://www.agott.com_
(http://www.agott.com) . Take a peek and let me know what you think!!

Speaking of Dickblick paper, has anyone had experience with their
"Masterprinter Paper", http://www.dickblick.com/zz104/02/ ? Is this
sulphite paper archival or just for proofing?

One more , but no site given.

New York Central Art Supply.
800-950-6111
Paper dept. 1-212-4737705
Reading the catalogue was an education for me and with papers from places I
never heard of.

For a change of pace--Dung Papers from Africa.. " The animal acts as a
papermaker's beater to help prepare the fibers! The dung is cooked and mixed
with other fibers for stability. 200Gr."
You can choose from buffalo, giraffe, 2 kinds of elephants, rhino. Not me.
I am happy with their more conservative papers!

Comments on the New York Central Art Supply:
I have been in the store and the paper stock is extensive. I found some of
their staff quite helpful, however no one was really familiar with hanga
printing. I also found McClains prices better and the Baren Mall had the
paper I really needed.

Thanks Julio,

The prints on the sight are done with oil-based inks.

Best to all,

Carol, We have some of the elephant and rhino dung paper in stock where I work and it is quite attractive ! It's also very popular with some customers who like its texture and thickness. The bookmakers who scout our paper supply are particularly fond of it, even if it is rather soft,
