Dear Bareners,

A few months ago I mentioned that I was printing my reductive blocks by
printing the cool colors on one side of the block and warm colors on the other.
Because I am using oil based ink, transparent colors, this really helped in
many ways. Mainly it conserves wood. The layering of colors was much easier
and there was more than one 'chance' to add another layer of color if
necessary. Even though my web site is still under construction it does have these
newer works under woodblock prints. The address is: _www.reneeaugrin.com_
(http://www.reneeaugrin.com) .

Enjoy!

Building up Steam, the steamroller print event here in San Antonio, is getting a lot of interest from the media, and artists who have resisited making prints in the past are getting seduced by the excitement into participating.
We really appreciate the sponsors of the event, especially. Dean Clark of Graphic Chemical, who was nice enough to give our new Art Director, Jim Kane, alot of good advice. Graphic Chemical is helping sponsor the event through product donation, and Legion Paper is also a major sponsor.
I hope to see some Baren Members there.
I keep recommending Baren as the best printmaking group on the web, and I hope some of those I recommended the group to are at least lurking!
