Dan,
The last time that happened to me I used a double layer of tarlatan to
temporarily cover the baren - and used it with a slip sheet, of course.
I was very careful to keep it dry. It worked, but not as well as
bamboo; whoever thought this business up knew what they were doing :-)
I now have a lifetime of bamboo from the Mall and the baren is holding
up just fine, it hasn't split since the shipment arrived and I
recovered it with the learning grade.

Cheers!
Sharri

For those of you who are anxious to see some of these 'ominously
popular' prints - go to:

http://www.newpaltz.edu/museum/exhibitions/future_cultofhappiness.html

There are 3 examples & you can click on the image & see them in a
larger size. Quite interesting
to see. They are larger than I expected.

ongratulations to Charles & Sara on your current exhibits.......way to go
!!!

If you are in need to spend more time in front of your PC, , Google now
offers some Art catalogs online....you can then search within the catalog
or browse it page by page....I see Daniel Smith, Dick Blick and other
familiar names.....

It's nice to hear that exchange 26 prints are starting to arrive at John's
place. However, I didn't get into that one. But I did get into exchange 25.
UNFORTUNATELY, though some folks haven't yet finished. (At least, I think
that was Diane's last message). I know I'm not the coordinator and I'm sure
I don't have all the facts about why people are late. Yet the participants
of 25 are eagerly awaiting their exchange.

This was my first time participating in an exchange. I was very anxious to
sign up. (There was a computer snafu, so I signed up 21 times, until it was
fixed by Mike and I was only obligated to do 31 prints, thank goodness.) I
guess what I'm trying to say without stepping on toes, is, it's kind of
disappointing to have to wait so long after the deadline to get your prints.
It seems like there are enough enthusiastic folks to do the exchange, but we
are just as anxious to receive the other participants work.

Nudge, nudge, hint, hint, turn in your prints....

Diane, please correct me if I am wrong. Maybe they were sent out and my copy
was lost in the mail. Thanks, Connie

Connie (and everyone else in the Exchange 25...

The good news is the prints went out today!!! They have all been sent USPS Priority (except, of course, the overseas ones) so should be arriving in your mailboxes on Monday or Tuesday... We actually still had one set never sent in so the total count is 29 participants...

All the prints are wonderful and I know that everyone who is in this Exchange will be delighted with the results...

Opps, Baren manager and all,
Please disregard that last message. I've just been informed it's in the
mail. Sorry to take up your time. Just anxious to see the wonderful prints.
Thanks again, Connie

My sister Cate and I met in Richmond Friday, boxed up our editions together
and mailed them USPS Priority so, barring the post office losing them, they
should arrive next Monday or Tuesday.
