I am having some problems inking this Shina block with my Akua
intaglio inks. I stir the ink like the website says, but when I ink
the block, I never get an even surface unless I over-ink... and even
then there are places that do not print. The ink appears to have an
inconsistency in it's thickness... some areas are thinner than others
and it looks kinda like a desert viewed from really high up. I live
in Jacksonville Fl, where it is very humid, so I tried sticking the
ink in the fridge for a couple minutes thinking it would thicken up.
I also keep the apartment around 75-80 degrees. Any help would be
appreciated, and here is a link with photographs to illustrate my
problem. http://homepage.mac.com/charlescoates/PhotoAlbum7.html
Thanks so much,
Charles
