Good for you Dan from someone who has had surgeries, both good and bad, I know what it feels like to wait to see if all comes out well. Good luck on recovery. Bea Gold

Wahoo! We are breathing a collective sigh of relief and thanks. All that prayer must have done something....of course the doctors and hospital were also involved.
Best to you,
Barbara

Louise, if you live in Toronto you might enjoy the trek around the lake
to Wayzgoose, an annual fair for the book arts that's held in Grimsby
every April. It's a great show that features a lot of woodblock
artists, paper makers, book binders and sellers as well as lesser known
book arts like marbling. There are lots of people selling supplies as
well. And, before I forget, I should mention George Walker, he's
practically a fixture there.

Google will help you find next years event. You might need to wait a
few days; I tried but I think Grimsby's server is on the fritz.

O.C.A.D. has a student sale every in November (I think) year as well,
lots of great woodblock art there.

Wonderful to hear, Dan... Isn't it amazing how much we appreciate our health after going through such experiences!

Hi Barbara,

I checked out the Adachi site and it's really interesting. I have a question tho. I realize they are recreating the blocks and making the prints the same way as the originals, and that in itself sounds like a fascinating process. But what I'm wondering is how these prints would stack up in the general print market?

I would love to hve one of these prints on my wall, for its own beauty and for the process it represents. But does it have any value compared to the original? Surely it of poster quality.

I hope I'm not asking foolish or insulting questions. I'm trying to learn. 8-]
