Welcome to our new memebers. Ellen glad you went to see the prints. When I first started that series I had a gallery in mind, but I never did submit them, life just got busy. Then another list was doing a monotype exchange, just as I was working on the series. I thought they would be ideal because they are all similiar and all the same size. Sadly the coordinator said it was old work, that I did not know what a monotype was and banned me from the exchange. I had a bad taste in my mouth so they have never been shown, glad to finally share them.

Sylvia, got your rooster, love it. Hope mine flew in. Not one of the finest things I have done, but I learned a lot, that is important too.

Hope the sun is shining on everyones door step today.

Old work! Banned you from the exchange! What rude people! Who needs them? Glad we got to see the pieces at least. Honestly, some people.

Hello All,
I am saying Hello & introducing myself as well. My sister, Annie Fitt,
told me about the Baren forum and I have signed up for the print
exchange. I studied moku hanga back in 1967 & '68 with Ansei Uchima at
Sarah Lawrence College. I still have the prints and some vague
recollections of the technique. My brushes were eaten by moths and the
carving tools found a new home at some point. This forum is jolting my
memory and I would love to try again.
Now I usually use lineoleum for my printmaking. I enjoy carving it and
the marks it makes. I have been working on a series of *copies* of
parts of tapestries about the medieval hunt - before that 18th & 19th
century paintings of greyhounds.
The latest job in my career as an artist without a full time academic
position, is as part-time, assistant director of a gallery opening on
September first. Check it out at www.quirkgallery.com. Don't know if
Annie mentioned that we will be carrying her (extremely) miniature
paintings.
I am looking forward to the print exchange. I think I settled on my
image this morning.
