Lori, I forgot that I had used Stonehenge for printing with Akua Kolor (not
the intaglio ink), with fine results. However, if you have large areas of
color you might want to print two layers to get rich color.

Again, I used it printing hanga-style, meaning brushing on the color and
printing w/a baren, but if you use Stonehenge again, I would try a test
dampening the paper, I think you should get better color that way. Barbara has used
this ink a lot - Barbara, have you used it w/roll-up on Stonehenge?

best wishes
Sarah

There is no real difference in the printing with roll up or brush....at least not for me, but I always use very thin layers of transparent ink when I roll the ink on, two thin layers of color always being better than heavy one. I almost always use damp paper, but have had good success with arches 88 and Kitakata dry. I have not used Stonehenge dry. The block is a little wetter with brush on, but not significantly so. I think the damp paper and damp block work in harmony. You get a rhythm going and need to keep all things constant for good results, no matter which process.
Best to all,
Barbara

I have a blog now on spaces.msn.com/members/nancyo24 and have just put on a few images of some etchings, some woodclock and paintings.
Some time ago I tried to reply re the gluing of chipped pieces but nothing appeared on the forum. Quik wood was suggested by Maria and it really does work well...an epoxy type that you knead till the two colors are one then apply to the work and let dry. It takes the ink and you wouldn't know there was any chipping when you print.

I have added more pictures to my blog. A note about this. It is a printmaking blog. I do not have a web page so I started this to share pictures of the prints I have done. When the blog opens the latest entry comes up first so if you have visited before you do not have to read all the earlier entries, just the latest. Today I added a picture of a collagraph print, the plate for it and two block prints. I always love to go and look at work, some times I di not comment, but always like to see what everyone else is doing.

Julio, I see that my second text on the Puzzle Prints got into the blog and
that is an achievement! I must have done something very wrong with loading
the next photos.

1 and 1/2 hours to hang with pushpins and that looked fine. 10 minutes to
remove this AM. Head librarian very helpful to work with.
Interesting: The first person assigned to this exhibt said the
administration did not accept the title "Too Advanced for Connecticut II". The next day
the Head Librarian sent an e-mail saying that I since I was the artist/expert
I was the one to provide the appropriate title..
Have a good weekend

Hi Nancy,
That's great you've created your Blog :) However, the link is
restricted. I wonder if you need to make it public?
