Gilda,
April Vollmer, Sarah Hauser and Carol Lyons all live in NY, surely one of them will know some place. Maybe there are even more baren people, I think several guys also who do not post ofter but have bought stuff from the mall. Dan Welden is on the end of Long Island in Sag Harbor so a bit away from the city...
If you need their email addresses contact me off list.
Best to you,
Barbara

Greetings to you all and especially our new members and the old ones with new Blogs.
I just knew the weblog addition would stir up a hornet's nest with Baren, so here I go with my twopenno'th.
Born in the valley of the machine smashing Luddites I always sympathise with reactions to new ideas, but we can't stop progress in communication.
It took me four months to understand the basic principles of a web site because I wished to communicate with prints as well as words to Baren.
Looking at member's latest work, for me, is just as important as solving problems in printmaking techniques.
The hassle of redesigning and uploading to my primitive website has been lifted with the Blog. All I need do is scan my latest print on a cheap scanner and providing the print scan is the correct size I can load it direct into the Blog.
I'm not a techno geek, so I took the Baren advice to try the system for a week or two.
I did and so far I have had two failed Blogs rescued successfully by Julio and David...Many Thanks!
Hopefully, with experience,my next print will be uploaded without their help.
Have a go folks we are backed up with at least two very sympathetic Bareners.
