I carefully exaimined them and they are real block prints. The paper is not
the same as in the book. It's a little yellowish which also makes me think
someone tried to make them look old. I was also the person to frame them,
so I've handled them quite a bit. We still love them whether they are real
or not and they were not expensive.

I found this item today on the woodcrafter site. (thanks to Sharri's query)
it is not exactly like mine but looks to be similiar. Mine has a handle and
the honing compound is in liquid form. But the grooves look to be about
what mine have. It is not expensive and night be worth a try for those
looking for a honing tool that makes sharpening easy.

Oh and Woodcrafters also has the power grip tools, they look just like the
ones Lee Valley carries.
Just type in Power Grip in their search engine to find them.

Gayle thank you for the correction. I've not done show
& tell before. I'm still learning!

Thank you everyone for your compliments and
encouragement. If I'm able to get the prints worked
out this year it'll be a major feat. Right now, since
the shop is being rebuilt my printing is held hostage
and kept very simple.
