Hi,

I just joined the list and as tradition has it, I though I would post an
introduction.

My name is Ehud and I am a special educator working with students who have
multiple and profound disabilities in Langley, British Columbia.

I am also a student at the Vancouver Community College in the Professional
Photography Diploma, part-time. I have no space for a darkroom so much of
my photography is limited to what can be done in class. Therefore, I have
been looking for another artistic outlet.

I have always been interested in printmaking but not really followed-up on
the interest other than an occasional professional development class.
Lately, I have been thinking about photogravure which as led me to relief
printmaking as I cannot afford a press. I have done some wood carving in
the past which has further led me to woodblock printmaking.

I am starting to carve some rubber blocks and linoleum as preparation to
moving to a wood block.

So, here I am, a black slate trying to figure out where to begin.

PS: Feel free to check out my photo website even though it is not related
to woodblock printing.
PPS: I do not have an art background so the concept of drawing and colour
theory scares me quite a bit.

Hi Ehud,

Welcome to Barenforum.org.........you are in good company, look around
the website (www. barenforum.org) for all that Baren has to offer, make
sure you check the members exchanges and the printmaking
encyclopedia......a good starting point for mulitple block printing is the
link that Dan posted yesterday from David Bull's website it will take you
step by step thru the making of a print:
