I really meant to send this to Jeanne Norman Chase and pushed the wrong
button, so it will go to all of you: Leave it to Jeanne to end it all
with a laugh. You have to live in a Fuschia state to have such a
comeback! For those of you who don't know Jeanne, she is a very
colorful character, with the most sensational sense of humor - rivaled
only by our very own Maria -

I guess I forget that there will be new people who don't know my sense
of humor, which I admit, can be a little off beat sometimes. I'm an
artist for crying out loud! I don't think like other people - if I did
I for sure would not be doing this carving and printing thing! LOL

I am so excited about having the summit here. I am much more excited
than my husband, who is still passed out from me telling him what we
were planning. He may be comatose - I'll have to check later.

And, there will be some who never catch my sense of humor, and I guess
we just have to live with them, too. We're an inclusive group, right?

What I wanted to tell you all is that I did a Guest Artist stint at
Portland Community College this morning focusing on woodblock, or at
least relief, printmaking and especially the kento system of
registration along with the Sharri Kento Adaptation for Western
Printing and the whole thing sounded like a 2 hour commercial for
Barenforum.org and the Baren Mall. It seemed like every other word from
my mouth extolled some virtue of Baren Forum. I shared some prints
from various exchanges and even hauled the Puzzle Print over there and,
let me tell you folks, they were mighty impressed with that - and
rightly so. I hope we will accrue many new members as a result of my
little excursion over the bridge this morning! I think we will.

Keep on Printin',
Sharri

Yahoo! Doesn't this sound fun? Your offer is accepted. If we all
work together I think we can make this a fantastic experience. When it
is held will all depend on David's schedule, we sure want him to come
if he can. We just need to figure out a way to get North Bank into the
picture. Maybe an exhibition of prints made at the Summit afterwards?
We could do that - and get the Columbian (& Oregonian) to come out and
cover the whole thing, summit and exhibition. I wish we could have a
one day print-a-thon in the NB Gallery, but that would mean everyone
packing their stuff up and going down there to print and then maybe no
one would come in! And, we'd have to round up a bunch of tables and
chairs. Maybe we could do it ----

work,......)
