hi all, this print exchange was posted on another list. I have never participated, but I noticed
that Carol Lyons was in the last one, in case she has anything to share about it -
here's the info:

-------------------
Print Zero Studios - Print Exchange #3

This is a non-juried call to artists to be part of our
3rd print exchange. Each artist is to create an edition
of 15, 5" X 7" prints, incorporating at least one
printmaking process. We will once again be exhibiting
the Print Exchange this spring at the Blue Door Gallery in
Seattle, WA, USA.

For a complete prospectus, or to view our
previous print exchanges please go to our website:

www.printzerostudios.com

Print Exchange Editions must be received by Jan. 15, 2005.

If you have any questions please drop us an email.

Yes I can share this positive experience about the Print Zero Studios
exchange.
I participated and it was very well organized. The prints were on a very
high level. For the next exchange they accept almost any print media
except digitals.
Being from the East, I enjoyed the opportunity of exhibiting in two places
in the West--Seattle, WA and Laramie,WY. I had woodblock prints in the size
called for.
If you have the time and energy to be involved with another organization by
all means, go for it.
Brian and Cody are very helpful and nice.
Bareners Frank Trueba and Mary Green were also in the Exchange.

I have no time to be involved with another organization so I will not
participate in their near future exchanges.
Baren is my #1!!

Dear Bareners,

I'm most pleased and honored to feature David Bull and his woodblock
prints in the Nov/Dec 2004 Issue of Simply Haiku online Japanese
short-form poetry and related arts at: http://www.SimplyHaiku.com
You will see his name on the top right hand column of the contents page
under Traditional Haiga (haiku and art together).

Please enjoy this wonderful publication that includes other traditional
and modern art forms, a variety of short-verse poetry, essays, and book
reviews. Also browse in the Archives to see every issue that has been
published. We are appreciative that Simply Haiku still shows the
passion to promote Japanese woodblock printmaking to the world! Please
send your kudos and comments to the chief editor, Robert Wilson or to
myself to share with the staff.

Next issue Jan/Feb.2005 I hope to feature a variety of moku-hanga
printmakers with prints that reflect a Japanese flair that I've been
working with to help continue to promote this beautiful art. Please
share this publication with your other groups, friends, and relatives.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Dear Bette,

Another great article and exhibit! I found the entry at
http://www.poetrylives.com/SimplyHaiku/SHv2n6/haiga_traditional/David_Bull/index.html
and loved seeing the prints -- I was lucky to view Dave's keyblock and
proofs for the kuchi-e (the image of the woman in the field of flowers) at
his studio and I saw a beautiful example of the Utamaro reproduction (the
portrait of the young woman with the purple background) when I visited
Iwano Ichibei -- it was the first print he showed me and it is stellar!

Thanks so much for putting these up!

Mike

Hi Mike, Thanks! glad you like the article. Yes....Dave's work is
stellar and you're fortunate to have seen it in the works and in person
at his studio. That link you found is our working site only, so the
actual published issue is to be viewed at
http://www.SimplyHaiku.com :) Enjoy! Bette.
