Barbara,
Add Maurice to the list for exchange #20. He ordered a case but it never
arrived. He wants me to thank you very much for all of your hard work.

Hi Carol,

We read your post with interest. Please let me know when and if you
show the cards in Sac...we might drive up to see that.
Thanks!

The idea of the [Baren] group making some kind of DVD(s) has been
floating around recently, and we've learned about how inexpensive it
has become to get them reproduced in bulk for distribution. Perhaps
it's time to start to put together some kind of project ...

If you have any interest in being part of a DVD project, please visit a
'survey' page we've put up, and let us know what you would like to see,
and what you might be able to do to help with it:
http://barenforum.org/dvd/survey.html

Thanks!

Harry you are such an inspiration for showing these exchanges. I have been
subbing here with the school district. But not in the art department, yet.
You make me feel that I should call them and ask if I could do an exhibit
and talk for the young ones in the art courses here. Thanks for such a
wonderful sharing thing you are doing with these marvelous portfolios. It
is my opinion that they should be shared as much as possible whenever
possible.
Happy printing,
Marilynn

Bette and Colleen,

A big big thank you for the safe delivery today of my Surimono and
Deck of Cards Exchanges.

The Surimono Exchange must be the very best I have yet received and
everyone seems to have put in a valiant effort to combine the Elements
and their verse..... I have them all displayed on the dining room table
but will have to remover them on Tuesday with the family coming to
dinner! The box and folder both arrived in perfect conditiion with
thanks to the postal service.

It would be fun to do one of these again, wouldn't it?

I am in the throws of doing a pack of card exchange for Gocco Printers,
but of the four cards I am doing two are calligraphic and two are more
graphic. The two calligraphic ones, the two and ten of clubs are so
much easier to write and print on the Gocco than out of wood!!

This "Fire,Fire" print was the set of blocks that I demonstrated with
in Adelaide to the South Australian Printmakers, but because I didn't
have time to finish printing them there finished the eight on my return
to Perth. I had to reprint the red and the yellow blocks a second time
because the Windsor and Newton water colour was not as strong as my
Langridge powder pigments I use at home. In labelling these I will
add that they were demonstration proof prints.

******* Hint........ I did have a problem with an "island" (unprinted
section but kept the paper level and away from the dirty inked areas
between) of wood between the two calligraphic sections on the oil based
block and to make it easier to keep it clean and free of ink I covered
it with sticky tape, so keeping it clean was soooo much easier.

Thank you again for co-ordinating both these exchanges.
Both exchanges are off to our calligraphers' guild at the end of the
month.

Jan
