Hi,
Connie from Spokane WA here,

Jean Norman Chase,
Honestly I can't imagine the stress that you must be going through...
My thoughts and well wishes go out to you.

Ewoud
Very fascinating and interesting prints you have shared. My favorite is Man zijaanzicht. Reminds me of Munch who I love.
Thanks for sharing :o)

Hi to all the new Bareners and Happy Printing!

Thanks to Dave for sharing the Milne essay. I enjoyed it very much.

Food for thought (or honey).
Could "wanting to be a machine" be like being a bee in the hive?

For Exchange #23,
I hope to be participating so I'll add some thoughts.

I like "I want to be a machine"....fascinating.

We could use someones idea from Ex.21 which was the nude.

I also like the landscape idea...

We just got back from a vacation on the Oregon coast. We drove all around the area between the coast and Eugene. I think that is some of the most gorgeous land. From Spokane you go through alot of treeless scrub desert stuff to get there (or the Washington coast too) so by the time you do It's like you have arrived in the garden of eden. I love it and am glad that even if I don't live there I am within relatively easy driving distance. The Pacific Northwest is beautiful in all its variety of landscapes.
Hey Jean...Spokane has 4 distinct seasons and virtually no weather extremes! You could move up here :o) It's kind of funny we had (in Spokane) 1 or 2 of the tiniest earthquake wannabes a couple of years back and the tiniest of tornadoes about 8 yrs ago (it moved our gazebo 7 feet and blew the leaves off of a baby tree we had), I think seven miles away it knocked over 5 trees and blew the roof off of a mobile home, very tiny and of course to everyone here it's big news. Especially the earthquakes. The local news media is the funniest thing about it all. We just have such even weather we have to magnify the smallest of events.
I does make me think about the toll the real events have on people.

Well thats all for now,

Connie

Ewoud,

Thank you for sharing your work! I love the expression of the
individuals.
The human element in each print feels so clearly stated, so simply
rendered.
Each has a full narrative.

Keep up the Great work!

I can't help using humans as my subjects.
At the moment I find human beings the mosat interesting thing to create,
really making new individuals to become inhabitants of this world. In
portraits this is shwon the best I think.
Portraits rock.
I can say things like : " Portraits rock", because I am 17 and far from
adultry.

I love Munch too. I totally recognize his way of looking at women sometimes.
