Hi printmakers!

This is a friendly reminder from the mall that if you want a case for #22 get it ordered. I have only 5 so far...and I need to place our order. These cases are a bit different but very beautiful, they close with a magnetic clasp and look so very professional. So let me know if you want one. Email me off list at barbaramason45@yahoo.com

Also we still have the Yamaguchi paper (16x20" approx) and the new Iwano paper (18x24" approx) available here in Oregon. I seem to be sending it to Australia but nowhere else. If you have not tried a sheet of it and are doing moku hanga, you should try it. I think you will like it. Way better than alka seltzer.

On another note, I have chine colled my prints to a cradled wooden frame, sort of like a canvas with wood on the top that is 2" deep. I dyed the edges of the wood black. Then I used cold wax to protect the paper and wood, and buffed it when dry. Now I have prints permanently mounted that have a mat finish and no frame or glass. I am very happy with this look and think they look a bit like paintings in presentation. Of course this mean I can raise the prices....I will let you know how they are received in the gallery. These are the black and white solarplates, not the hanga. However I am thinking I can do anything this way so will try the hanga next. This reminds me a bit of the pieces stretched on wood frames we saw in Kansas City, but of course they are different as no rocks were used to make them. I still think that was one of the most amazing processes I have seen in a long time but since I have arthritis I have not tried it.
Best to all,
Barbara
