I can't for the life of me understand why you folks with humidity,
heat, and problems and don't use methylcellulose instead of rice paste.
I make up a quart and keep it in my studio, not refrigerated for up
to a year and nothing happens. No mold, mildew, roaches, critters or
other undesirables seem to care for it. For printing it seems to work
exactly the same as rice paste. Try it, you'll like it.

Cheers,

Sharri

Hi
Thanks to Rudolf Stalder you can now see the Lefties prints.

http://www.rst-art.com/wct-lefties.htm

And thank you to the participants who were from Japan, Mexico, England, and
the US.
I look forward to an exhibit and to also include the Lefites who could not
make the extended extended deadline.

Hello Mary Ann,

I made my first stone print ... a petroglyph mouse. I emailed you privately
and sent an image of the carved stone and the print. Just checking to see
if you got my email, as I have not heard back from you.

Cheers .... Charles

Dave, these images are wonderful, tell us more about Okamoto-san.....is he
trained in the traditional techniques ?
How long has he been printmaking ? The rendering and composition of the
images remind me a lot of the classic works by Paul Jacoulet ....specially
Okamoto-san' series "First Love"....(with one of course big difference in
gender selection). The colors are also very intense....possibly opaque
water-colors or multiple printings ?

thanks for sharing these with us, I will email Okamoto-san at first
chance........

thanks....Julio Rodriguez (Skokie, Illinois)

I want to go to the Mid-America Print Conference in Lincoln Nebraska this
October. I can get a plane ticket, but really need inexpensive lodging. Would be
happy to get a floor for my bedroll. If anyone can help, please contact me off
list.
