thanks everybody for your nice words about my show, it means a lot. Sharri, love the "fish wife" "headda hopper" etc, I would love to see these! And Bette, I know what you mean about wanting to visit everyone's exhibits, I feel the same way... if only I could create more space and time in life for everything :) thanks to all for all the lovely feedback ...

and, I just heard about an exhibition which sounds wonderful which will is at the Frick collection in NYC til August 15, here's the info:

When is a Work of Art Complete: Prints by Rembrandt, Piranesi, Degas, Munch and More
Frick Collection
New York, NY USA

For the first time in its history, The Frick Collection
will host a major special exhibition this summer that is
devoted solely to prints and the process of printmaking.
This special presentation poses questions that have
preoccupied artists, critics, and collectors for centuries:
When is a work of art complete? and When do further
additions detract from the desired result? These issues
have a particular history in the graphic arts, where images
are developed in stages and often distributed at various
points in their making. This exhibition will address the
complex issue of finish in art through the presentation of
more than sixty print impressions in varying degrees of
completion. Featured artists, European masters from the
fifteenth to the early twentieth century, include Albrecht
Dürer, Hendrik Goltzius, Parmigianino, Anthony van Dyck,
Rembrandt van Rijn, Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Edouard
Manet, Edgar Degas, August Rodin, Felix Bracquemond, Paul
Gauguin, Edvard Munch, and Jacques Villon.

best to all,
Sarah

Thank You Maria for the effort you put into this puzzle print and
Barbara's help with the printing.
The prints arrived safely at my door today thank you. They are still
very foetal and will need a few days to relax from their tube when I
will have a better chance to appreciate all the unique puzzle pieces in
person.

I was particularly interested in the Colophon booklet and the comments
made by the individual artists on "What is Baren?" It is a great group
of people and we have learnt a lot from each other...... it is
wonderful to be part of that community.

Thank you again Maria
