I just painted the inside of my house yellow...what a difference. It is like the sun is on all the time....I should have done this years ago...I was truly a white wall person.

So if any of you need a winter lift, paint the walls yellow! Wahoo! I think I am even carving better...of course that could be the new cherry plywood I got and not the walls!

If anyone who is in #19 wants a case, order it today! I am sending in the order tomorrow!
Best to all,
Barbara/mall manager

I joined this group on 1/01/04 and would like to take
a moment to introduce myself.

My name is John L. Peters and I have just moved to the
Chicago area from Rancho Cucamonga in sunny southern
California. My primary medium is monotype
print-making, an art form that I first learned while
living in Riverside, CA, in about 1997. Since that
time, my print-making interests have grown to include
block prints and woodcuts, as well as etchings (an art
form that I have yet to experiment with).

My education is in the sciences, but I am no longer in
a scientific profession.

I have examined many of the prints produced by your
organization and I think that this is a group from
which I can learn a great deal. Thanks for having me.

Hey, John! I'm surprised that you are still able to wiggle your frozen
fingers enough to type -- must be quite a shock: January in Chicago as
opposed to Rancho Cucamonga!!! So a very WARM welcome to Baren!

Send Message: To this poster

Hi,

A Lefties Can Carve Exchange is O.K. and is being planned. It is not a
regular Baren Exchange, but an extra one that I think will be fun for Baren
participants. I will coordinate. The Rules will be the same.

So far it is a small group of interested left-handed woodblock printers and
there are others who I hope will join us.
Size--7 and 1/2 by 10 ", either vertical or horizontal.
Sign-up now for 2 weeks.

Deadline for prints--June 1. That should give us plenty of time.

E-mail me off-line for sign-up, questions or remarks.
Please understand that I am not I used to doing this!
It's one of those endorphin things and I wasn't riding a bike as Maria was.
