Suzi,
Part of the problem was that the cases were late due to the illness of the gentleman who makes them in Japan....the coordinators had a few stragglers so decided to wait for the cases and give the late people a chance to get their work in...

It is not a good idea for exchanges to be so late, but several have. We want them on time, but the reality is things happen and sometimes people are late. I don't know the answer, we always say we will just send back any work that comes in after the deadline, but if you are the coordinator and only have 19 of 30 it is hard to do that, everyone is disappointed as all want a full exchange portfolio.

The answer is of course for the cases to arrive on time and all the work to be in on time. We are talking about ordering cases a year ahead of time and stocking them in the USA to take care of late cases, but that will not help people get their work done on time and it is very unfair to those who send thier stuff in at of before the deadline. I admit I have been a few days late a time or two....life just gets in my way.
Best to all,
Barbara
