Of this book seventy-five copies were printed on Japanese Vellum, numbered from 1 to 75, and one thousand on Strathmore Deckle Edge paper, numbered from 76 to 1075, and signed by the author. I actually got mentioned in the review section on the Portland Pearl District Art Scene....I cannot understand the review as I have to go look up some of the words, (anyone know what conflate means?) but I think that is ok, at least it seems complimentary! I guess if you live long enough, you get a sentence in a national magazine. Wahooooo! They also mentioned Print Arts Northwest and the American Print Alliance Memorial Portfolio show we had in September. So all in all a good day here in Oregon. I am going out to buy the magazine as I admit I let my subscription lapse...shame on me. Best to all, Barbara ------------------------------ From: Aqua4tis#aol.com Date: Sun, 9 Nov 2003 17:19:24 EST Subject: [Baren 23330] Re: Barbara got a star barbara congratulations!!!!!!!! so many wonderful things are happening to baren members georga ------------------------------ From: Bette Wappner Date: Sun, 09 Nov 2003 23:18:38 -0500 Subject: [Baren 23331] Re: Barbara got a star dear barbara .......wow! way to go, girl. i'm sure you've looked up 'conflate' by now....."to bring together, fuse, to combine into a composite whole". so....that is definitely GOOD! i'm so proud of you. Thanks for the definition...actually I have been too busy to look it up. I was going to wait until I got the magazine as there was another word I didn't know...who uses these strange words anyway? This is like scrabble only worse! I think communication should be in words used by most people, no one I have talked to today knew this word. So I guess it was a secret communication! Ha.
