While looking around the net for calendar supplies/info for our project I came across this website for calligraphers & bookmakers. After looking at their selection of calendars (I like the themes they chosen for past years) hit the Products page to see all the stuff they carry for calligraphers and book makers...make sure you get the whole link: http://www.johnnealbooks.com/cgi-local/SoftCart.exe/online-store/scstore/calendars.html?L+scstore+cwvs0176ffe6ade6+1071350799 thanks...Julio Rodriguez (Skokie, Illinois) ------------------------------ From: Bette Wappner Date: Mon, 03 Nov 2003 18:04:45 -0500 Subject: [Baren 23290] Re: cases for 18 and 18a barbara, i'll take the one that you think you might have. thanks, bette wappner Date: Mon, 03 Nov 2003 19:09:16 -0600 Subject: [Baren 23291] Re: Baren Digest V25 #2425 Margaret Tsirantonakis wrote: Date: Tue, 04 Nov 2003 00:04:28 -0500 Subject: [Baren 23292] cracking maru-bake A Maru-bake 60 mm that I bought from the mall is cracking and I wonder if that's normal or bound to happen, if I'm doing something wrong, and what its life expectancy is from here on out. After washing out all of the paint and drying it as completely as I can, I allow it to stand on its bristles to finish drying. Brushes do split occasionally. You will see them wrapped with wire or twine or stapled. Then some epoxy or non watersoluble glue over the twine. This keeps them from cracking more. Do not pull hairs out, cut them off if one gets longger than the rest. If you pull them out the whole bunch can come out as they are just stuck in and held with glue. Dave may have a better answer for this than I do. I have one that cracked about 1/4 inch and never got any worse so I just ignore it.
