Most appropriate for Baren, ne? I would also like to extend a warm welcome to Lana, Margaret Tsirantonakis, and any other new souls I may have missed recently. You have found the premier place for learning about woodblock printing . Julio, I am very excited by what I see on the calendar pages, and am looking forward to receiving said calendars! I would also like to purchase some extra ones for Christmas gifts, especially a full page (which I didn't contribute to), and the A, Or B postcard ( which ever one I don't receive as a contributor. ) Speaking of contributions, Colleen, how stands the deck of cards project? I also have people who would purchase a deck of card... Carol in Sacramento ------------------------------ From: Julio.Rodriguez#walgreens.com Date: Sun, 2 Nov 2003 23:17:58 -0600 Subject: [Baren 23282] Re: calendar update & purchasing information Dear Carol and others who have asked about purchasing calendars.... I can not possibly keep track of who wants what or how many, etc...there is just too much going on around here at the Rodriguez household right now, Sept & Oct have been tough...health wise. If anyone sent me money with their prints for extra calendars, I will honor that. The calendars will be made available for purchase thru the Barenmall on a first come first serve basis........obviously since they are a limited-edition..when they are sold out...they are gone. When the mall page is ready, you will be able to go to the mall put your order in...Barbara Mason will take care of the money end and I will get a notification and take care of making sure you get your calendars. Since the edition is so small we will probably have a limit of two calendars of each type per order...so you can purchase a bunch but just not all of the same type. We are anticipating putting the calendars on sale sometime around mid November....with shipping to follow right after that. Please stay tune for mall information, calendar prices and other pertinent information on the project. In the meantime, I have put up a trio of new calendar prints for your enjoyment...a wonderful November print by Richard Campbell for the Page calendar, a lovely Landscape by Jean Eger Womack and my very own contribution to the Nudes calendar. thanks...Julio Rodriguez (Skokie, Illinois) ------------------------------ From: "marilynn smih" Date: Sun, 02 Nov 2003 23:28:22 -0800 Subject: [Baren 23283] Re: Baren Digest V25 #2428 HELP okay this is not exactly woodblock so answer off list. I took beautiful digital photos of my nudes, 93 of them to be exact. I took them on my deck in natural sunlight, no shadows. they look exquisite on the computer, everything I wanted. I printed thumbnails and the backgrounds are all gray, they look awful. I have done photos and printed put them and they have been wonderful. What is the problem this time??? I am working on a project with this group of work??? Many are sketches on white paper and it does not print white, but gray and it looks horrid!!!
