Prescott published by art edge 1966. It has a large number of color plates showing his very painterly aplication of ink in many layers. A couple other interesting things is that there are a number of detailed pics of the wood blocks as well as proofs pulled from the blocks some of which appear to have been printed from the blocks as well as two that were printed from litho plates. The style and process is most unique. The artist paints his blocks with oil paint. All in all a very interesting book and work. john "furry press, fornicating wood chips, oil based curmudgeon printed dry" center ------------------------------ From: Barbara Mason Date: Wed, 15 Oct 2003 08:13:39 -0700 (PDT) Subject: [Baren 23083] Re: cases for 18 and 18A When I order the next cases, I am going to order some more for 17 as we did not have enough for all at the end. Just a quick note to let you know that we are now in the final two weeks for the Calendar-2004 project. A few prints are still out but everyone is onboard and we are on schedule for delivery in November. I will make an announcement about ordering calendars sometime soon. I do need for those participants who have not filled out a colophon to send me your print(s) information. It is important so that I can give proper credit and pertinent info on the calendar's text. If you have not done so already, please go to the link below and fill out all the info...specially print tittle. http://www.barenforum.org/calendar/ thanks....Julio Rodriguez (Skokie, Illinois) ------------------------------ From: Myron Turner Date: Wed, 15 Oct 2003 17:24:06 -0500 Subject: [Baren 23085] Re: calendar update - colophon needed !!!! Julio, Unfortunately, I can't recall if I provided colophon info, and there may be others like me. Is there someplace we can check this?
