We are human , aren't we? (Other people may tell how to fix that mistake.) I have often seen worse "mistakes" in professional prints. The central concept of my last woodblock, "Endorphin Attack on a Joy Ride", see comment on Maria's Collaborative Puzzle, was causd by a chip off the block. Generally, I try to take advantage of mistakes. And that's because I make so many of them. Don't get me wrong! I am not proud of making mistakes but attempt to use them when they happen. My first experiments in art were called "Risk-It!" It works for me. Different strokes for different folks. Good luck. There are also a number of published books on the subject. The Ronin Gallery in NYC put one out some years ago, but I think others are available. The quality of fine printing in these works was often of a superior sort.
