I think not!! When you're sending out stuff late and it has to get there pretty fast is costs a bit more. You're just sending out 1 calendar back to each of us, yes? The only major difference between the two is that on an etching press the bed of the press moves and on a Vandercook the roller moves but the contact point on the matrix is still just a narrow line on the roller. As a vandercook is rather large steel object the amount of pressue need to print a small etching or mono print will not hurt it. You just have to be creative on how you use your etching blankets etc. I have a small etching press and a none inking vandercook the etching press cost me about 12 times what the vandercook cost. With some creative thinking you can make the vandercook do every thing but get you your morning coffee. I have mine trained to do that but it never wants to put the cream into as it likes it black. john "of the cast iron furry" center ------------------------------ From: "Colleen Corradi" Date: Sun, 14 Sep 2003 12:59:14 +0200 Subject: [Baren 22777] RE: cards exchange Julio and all cards exchangers The website where the cards information was on (http://www.monoprints.com/exchanges/cards.html) is down and I don't know what is going on with my server - it has been down for almost 3 days and they haven't returned my mails. For this reason I put up the site temporarily here http://www.debellum.com/cards.html Colleen ------------------------------ End of Baren Digest V24 #2372 *****************************
