The building and the space are beautiful. And what a thrill to see "Baren Forum" on the sign outside. I hope there will be some more photos with the exchange prints in them. And, let us know some of the comments you hear about the prints. Again, Thank You! I must say the designs are quite striking and all of you put some serious thougth into this. The overall print promises to be quite interesting. Reminder: Deadline is August 31st Anyone that will absolutely not be able to complete their piece within 30 days of the deadline or simply has lost interest, please please send me your block back so an eager alternate can replace it. I am preparing a web form so that everyone can enter the details of their piece for a collophon. If you sent me info over the email or with your piece, I will use that. I will announce when it is ready. I am also working on placing all the received pieces in their slots so we can get a "half-way" point of reference and everyone sees how the puzzle is coming together. I am also leaving this world (maybe just the state) for a lengthy 12 day adventure in Colorado (Breckenridge and Castle Rock) beginning August 27th. So I guess this means a tinsy grace period for those of you who have carving block (HA!). I used to belong to one but it took up too much time. In my next life I am going to take it up. I had a horrible computer week, but all is fixed. What a hassel. Best to all, Barbara Brad Teare wrote: There used to be a great magazine on hand and letterpress printing. Does anyone remember what it is called? (If it is still being printed). If you know of any magazines on the book arts or hand printing, send them my way. Many thanks. ------------------------------ From: Myron Turner Date: Sat, 16 Aug 2003 07:25:00 -0500 Subject: [Baren 22571] Web Site update I've been updating my woodblock web site, which I haven't done since before joining baren. I've put on prints from the past year and a half, and I've added a few prints to the selections from my early work. http://www.room535.org/woodblocks/ Myron Turner ------------------------------ End of Baren Digest V24 #2343 *****************************
