Please, before posting to lists, check these things out by typing the name of the so-called virus into your search engine. You will probably be given a list of choices that will take you to a website that will show this particular warning to be a hoax. Real email viruses warnings are on the news first, not through email warnings. It will erase everything on your hard drive. Just a couple of suggestions... 1) let's stick to woodblock and 2) before we pass along any virus warnings, please check http://www.snopes.com ... The "It Takes Guts to Say Jesus" is one of the hardier perennial virus hoaxes, having bloomed in inboxes all over the Internet since 1998. Although a virus could be harbored in a mail message bearing any subject line the sender chose, there was never a rash of disabled computers and trashed hard drives caused by e-mail messages titled "It Takes Guts to Say Jesus" -- this one was a hoax from the very beginning. See http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/jesus.htm for complete debunking... - -- Mike Mike Lyon mailto:mikelyon#mlyon.com http://www.mlyon.com ------------------------------ From: Jan Telfer Date: Tue, 29 Jul 2003 00:02:14 +0800 Subject: [Baren 22378] Re: Baren Digest V24 #2320 Dear Gary, It is nice to hear from you. > I enjoy _your_ work immensely. I thought I read where you have had some of your beautiful designs printed in woodblocks, is that right? Do you have a website where we can view them? I have you designs here and still enjoy them.. Have you done some yourself now too? He takes us to a reflection about execution and interpretation for the work of art, l'art oeuvre , that conjugues the unicity of l'oeuvre and the multiplicity of interpretation of it. Did I make me understand??? You must know Pareyson's writings, books. About your oart in the discussion I must tell you that I agree with what you've said, especially about "growing old" and the indignity of the deformation. Good luck. Best wishes. PS. Myron and Juan Guerreiro, thanks for your feedback. LOVE. The forum is about printmaking in general, but as it happens in cooperation with the triennial in cracow, postings there should have significance. michael - -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Postings for Forum Date: Tue, 29 Jul 2003 12:01:47 +0200 From: "SMTG Sarah Sliwa" Dear Panelists, Thank you for participating in our ongoing discussion 'Printmaking on the Edge' these past few weeks. I have enjoyed reading about your interests in, concerns about, and approaches to current situations in printmaking. I am just writing to say that I will no longer be moderating the Forum. Essentially, the only thing this changes is that postings should be made directly from our website: www.triennial.cracow.pl and not sent to my email at SMTG. Your participation is very much welcomed and encouraged, should it still interest you. Also, the discussion will now be open to the general visiting public. If there are any people you would like to invite-students, friends....please feel free to do so. Thanks again. Do we just do it in katakana? Any Bareners that participated in exchange #14, the pronunciation of whose names are not obvious, please contact me as I must transliterate all these names into Japanese.
