TX, Maria ------------------------------ From: "Jeanne N. Chase" Date: Tue, 8 Jul 2003 16:32:13 -0400 Subject: [Baren 22173] Calendar Julio Is the Nude calendar horizontal or vertical. Need to know. Jeanne ------------------------------ From: Julio.Rodriguez#walgreens.com Date: Tue, 8 Jul 2003 15:46:39 -0500 Subject: [Baren 22174] Re: Calendar Jeanne....here is what we proposed: Max paper/image width size is 8" and max height size is 11". Minimum width size is 6" and minimum height size is 9". Any size format within those ranges is acceptable ( ex. 6"W X 11"H). So I guess is vertical along the 11" Height or you could do a horizontal subject along the 8" Width. Remember your print will be attached to an 14" H X 11" W sheet with the month info on it. Sorry to be so confusing...Julio ------------------------------ From: Mary Krieger Date: Wed, 09 Jul 2003 07:02:57 -0500 Subject: [Baren 22175] Glossary progress Greetings all, I have collected and edited all the terms and definitions that have been suggested so far and have come up with a possible standard for coding the various contributions. I have added a page to my own site so you can see the in progress work. http://www.mts.net/~mkrieger/gloss.html I realized that we often define on the fly within our posts and so I have collected and added some of those as well. I have not included the author's name but I could. For some of the lengthier ones especially, I feel credit is deserved. Let me know how you feel about it, particularly if you are one of the people quoted. I have come up with a way of marking the different languages contributed so far. One of the very interesting things to me about Baren is the way it offers me an opportunity to experience printmaking in all its diversity around the globe. Printing is technology that spread quickly at a time when global communication consisted of individuals walking or riding animals from place to place. I wonder how many more stories we will find like our speculation about the origin of the word 'baren'. Check out the forum archives for '[Baren 7112] the meaning of baren ' I also found a number of specialized terms in recent postings used undefined and not included in our existing Encyclopedia dictionary. I have listed them as well. Go ahead and have a stab at writing a definition if you feel like. Wondering if this is how Boswell felt..
