The baren summet was sure fun   a bit long but fun.   There are people behind 
those pixels and some of them are as obsessive about making 
woodchips as I am.   Looking forward to "pillow books". 


looks like i brought summer here in Chicago from Kansas City     will be 90 
tommorow for the first time.

Well I'm back from the summit and am also experiencing a little "Summit Withdrawal Syndrome". 
Took Sunday to spend time with my girls but kept thinking of all my new found friends and 
fellow printmakers. I was a bit nervous about going to the summit as I am a bit of a lurker 
and thought I might feel out of place.But I found out right away
what a wonderful and open group the Baren truly is. Everyone made me feel right 
at home. I wanted to thank everyone for their generosity .A special thanks to Mike 
for hosting this event and opening up his studio to all of us so freely. Thanks to Dave, 
Marco and April for answering my questions and helping me with basic techniques, 
your knowledge and patience was greatly appreciated . Thanks to John Furr, Bette, Jim & Gayle 
for always making sure I had a ride. Hi to my long lost Cuban friend Julio. 
Most of all thanks you all for the time we spent together, It was a very emotional experience, 
or maybe that was the sleep deprivation working. Looking forward to seeing all of you soon.

Wonderful pictures, April.  It was really good to get to meet you!

I am still overwhelmed with the wonderful laughter & friendliness of
everyone.  To renew old friendships and make so many new ones.  It's such a
priceless gift.  For all of you who couldn't be there, we missed you and
hope that you will be able to come to the next one!  And we are positive
there will *be* a next one!

A special thanks to you, Mike - for your unbounded generosity and good will
toward all of us.  Your work & your collection were a real inspiration. It
was a real 'trip'!

I believe this is the second time I've subscribed to baren.  The first time
I quit because I found too many emails un-related to the subject of
printimaking and because the filter didn't work (for receiving the digest

Hello Everyone!
Just a short note to let you all know that I arrived home safely, as I hope 
each of you have.
I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to meet with everyone. The experience 
of living communally with so many people that I hadn't met before was daunting 
at first, but I have met so many people that I consider true 
friends......extremely knowledgeable.......with the kindest hearts imaginable.
Thanks to Mike, our kind host, without whom this whole thing would never have 
taken place. Thanks also to David, and all of the numerous teachers and 
presenters that so generously shared their knowledge with us. You are truly 
remarkable people and I am grateful for your generosity!
