Baren Digest Monday, 16 June 2003 Volume 23 : Number 2261 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Cucamongie#aol.com Date: Sun, 15 Jun 2003 10:58:17 EDT Subject: [Baren 21797] solarplates Sharri, I just wanted to say that w/solarplates & exposure times, I did find that exposing in the sun was quite unpredictable. I also found that using the large vacuum exposure unit at the printshop I use was unpredictable. However, I took a couple of classes w/Dan Welden, the guy who developed solarplates. and once I got together the setup that he uses (a small tanning lamp set inside a box), I found that exposure time was much more consistent. Not to bore people since this is supposed to be a woodblock place, I'd be happy to describe this setup further if you or anyone else wishes to contact me offline. There may also be something about it on Dan's website, www.solarplate.com. happy printing!
