April, thanks for sharing the pictures, looks like you were busy!
and looks like a fun bunch of printmaking folks over there too...
and of course it must have been nice to visit with Rebecca
Salter, I had the opportunity to meet her in person a couple of
times here in NYC, she's a delightful and creative person. of
course, April and I will be delighted to see any of you woodblock
folks at the sakura matsuri.  Hopefully we'll have some sunshine
there this year.  It's quite a festive event, and usually this
time of year everything is in bloom and beautiful there. best

If you ever have a bit of time in Chicago, visit the "Oriental
Institute" at the University of Chicago.

was a favorite haunt of mine in my younger years, and houses
great treasures of the Mesopotamian and other civilizations! 

It continues to be a center for the study of those cultures and
you may find their "What's New" section in the web site
especially interesting in light of the past days.

They have always provided delicious adventures for the
imagination, but continue to have remarkable programs, films and
courses of study. 

I agree that there could be themes for many exchanges here!
