Does anyone here have a decent command of Latin? I'm looking for some help in constructing a Latin phrase for an inscription in a drawing and own efforts have left me confused. A good Latin dictionary would help, I suppose, but one can't have everything. If anyone can help with this project, please contact me off-line. Thanks, James ------------------------------ From: Dan Dew Date: Sun, 09 Mar 2003 20:32:34 -0500 Subject: [Baren 20949] Re: off topic request: dead language conjugation Hey James! This is Dan Dew's daughter, Meagan. I took Latin for five years and might be able to help you with the phrase you needed. I also have a handy Latin- english dictionary , which is also helpful, somewhere sitting around collecting dust. Just email my dad back with the phrase you wanted and I'll try my best to translate it! I've just received great news for Chicago area Baren members! Claude Aimˇe Villeneuve will be exhibiting in Oak Park, Illinois in April. She'll be involved in activities from the 5th through the 10th. Oak Park, of Hemingway and Frank Lloyd Wright fame, is a great town that's just west of Chicago..hardly a far enough out to be a suburb. I'm hoping that we might get together the weekend of her opening, either Saturday or Sunday, or perhaps later in the week. You can see some of her prints in Baren's #9 & #13, in PrintAustralia's "What is a Print?" and "Illustration" Exchanges, and in the Printmaker's "MprINT Exchange 2000".
