Incidentally the paperback price appears to be $35- I'm certainly tempted to order it not being able to get to Baltimore - you lucky people in the U.S. have so many great shows happening!!! I have had an email from Horacio Soares Neto that his prints are on the way. >From Frank Trueba I have colophon information and he has ordered one of the folders from the baren mall so I would like to hold off until I receive his prints. I have no recent word from Eli Grigss, so I will hope this person gets prints to me soon. I have begun typing the colophon. I have not forgotten you out there who are waiting for your prints, sorry it is slow but I felt since it was a smaller group it was worth waiting on the few who were slow. Thanks for your patience. I was reading the rules and could not figure out any other way to do it but post a note on the forum. The good news is: I'm pregnant. The bad news: I have been so nauseated, I don't see how I will be able to produce a nice print on time and do the traveling I plan to do aroud the holidays. In the future, I plan on participating in another exchange. ( I will still be doing Maria's carving, though!) Happy printing to all! (By the way, if anyone knows of any good nausea remedies, let me know!) Congratulations on the pregnancy ... hope the nausea passes soon. A few remedies, though you probably know them all: 1) Ginger tea ... chop up fresh ginger root and pour boiling water over it ... let it steep ... drink it warm or cold ... you can mix it with tonic water and honey to make your own ginger ale. Home made will be much better for you (and stronger) than any store variety. 2) Pressure bandage on your wrist ... really works for some folks subject to motion sickness ... check you pharmacy for ready-made gizmos 3) Marijuana is supposed to be really good for treating nausea ... lots of aids patients and patients taking chemotherapy treatments use it ... I do not know the situation where you are in terms of legality. In some places you can legally obtain it with a doctor's prescription. 4) Some people swear that any serious mental distraction (e.g., printmaking) does wonders to combat nausea. Hanga in there .............. We had a nice chat and I told her all about you--well, not everything! She had browsed on the Website and was thrilled that such a group as our exists. Several of our group are already acquainted with this lovely lady. While there I saw an extensive print exhibit she curated: A Legacy in Landscapes, including sets of woodblock prints-including Dow and Terry Winters. Excellent! An afternoon well spent... Wouldn't a woodcarving and print of a ginger root be a great subject matter? :) Best to you, Bette Wappner ------------------------------ From: Aqua4tis#aol.com Date: Fri, 1 Nov 2002 16:57:29 EST Subject: [Baren 19708] Re: Resumes Delivered wonderful news carol and thank you for all your efforts on our behalf georga ------------------------------ From: legreenart#cs.com Date: Fri, 01 Nov 2002 18:04:16 -0500 Subject: [Baren 19710] RE: Baren Digest V21 #2011 Sylvia Taylor is featured in StoneMetal Press' exhibition opening tonight.
