Baren Digest Wednesday, 21 August 2002 Volume 20 : Number 1933 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Sharri LaPierre Date: Tue, 20 Aug 2002 07:46:00 -0700 Subject: [Baren 18950] Re: Baren Digest V20 #1932 Can we return to SPAM for a minute? Someone mentioned a filter which was pretty effective in eliminating spam email - could you send the address for that again? I wasn't paying attention and can't seem to find it in the archives. If you know of one which filters out those addresses to which you cannot reply that would really be helpful. Maybe this is all a pipe dream on my part - one of those crazy artists you know............. Advantages are: messages are stopped at the server, filtering by sender, subject, and/or message text, ability to send errors (which at least temporarily takes you off email databases), ability to send complaints to the senders address or their ISP (doesn't help much as most of these are temporary addresses like tami45634j#yahoo.com). M PS I liken drawing on and printing a litho stone to carving on real wood versus lino and other substitutes. There is some special feeling about it. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Maria Arango Las Vegas, Nevada, USA http://www.1000woodcuts.com maria#mariarango.com <><><><><><><><><><><><><><> ------------------------------ From: Legreenart#cs.com Date: Tue, 20 Aug 2002 13:13:08 EDT Subject: [Baren 18952] Re: Baren Digest V20 #1932 I am afriad to send this from my Hotmail account. At the end of the last digest, a link to an MSN advertisement about sharing photos appeared. I don't know where it came from or if it even came from my mail. Does anyone know where it came from, or if it attached itself to my email through my hotmail account? I am hoping it didn't, but looks like it did. I don't wamt this kind of thing to happen!
